All JW Convention Themes (Through the Years) from 1942 to Present [Updated Yearly]

Did you ever wonder what are those past convention themes used by the Jehovah's Witnesses? Well, here is a list (compilation) of all convention themes from the oldest up to the present. We will update this page as new convention themes are announced.

Quickfacts
  • From 1886 to 1931, conventions are referred to as "Bible Students’ General Meeting" and "Bible Students’ Conventions."
  • From 1932 to 1941, conventions are referred to as "General Conventions", "National Conventions" and "Theocratic Assemblies".
  • Starting the 1942, Theocratic Assemblies and conventions bears a theme.
  • From 1948 to 1977, conventions are referred to as "District Assemblies" and "International Assemblies."
  • From 1978 to 2013, we used the term "District Conventions", "International Convention" and "Special Convention."
  • On 2014, "District Convention" was replaced by the term "Regional Convention." "International Convention" and "Special Convention" remains the same.

    2009 "Keep on the Watch!" Convention... I wouldn't forget how the convention ended with an unforgettable song, "Jehovah's Warm Appeal: "Be Wise My Son."" Sing To Jehovah songbook was released, that was few years when it is updated to the SJJ songbook. I won't forget that convention, it is when i was baptized.

    I got baptized in the middle of winter. When it snow was on the ground. In Golden Colorado on Sunday January 20, 1974. In a heated pool.

    I was Baptized on December twelve 3011. Convention theme: LET GOD KINGDOM COME at Ikot-Okubo Ofot, Uyo. Akwa Ibom State. Nigeria
